UF Health Shands P04 OR Renovations

This project was focused on the conversion of second floor administrative spaces into five operating rooms. All of the second floor work was performed adjacent to the active grossing lab and the chapel. Infection, sound, and vibration control were critical since the grossing lab, chapel, and active ORs are located on the second floor. Two new electrical distribution panels, two new transformers, and 12 new electrical panels were installed to support the five new ORs. This project also required new structural boom supports and detailed coordination with the owner’s Steris and Black Diamond Video systems.
