UF Health – Integrated Service Center

Project: UF Health – Integrated Service Center
Location: Gainesville, Florida
Owner: UF Health
Construction Cost: $5.17 Million
Project Size: 77,500 SF
Completion: February 2010The 77,500 square foot facility is located on Waldo Road, north of the Gainesville Regional Airport. The warehouse was designed as a support facility to house operations for one of Shands’ supply chain services vendors. The majority of the new facility (62,500 square feet) is open warehouse with 28’-0” clear height.

A 15,000 square foot, low roof bump-out was incorporated to house office and meeting areas, as well as three distinct bays for specialty products storage, sorting, and distribution.

The main shell is comprised of concrete tilt wall panels with bar joists, metal deck and a TPO roof membrane system. Clerestory windows were introduced along the north elevation, along with window panels in the 14 roll-up doors, to help introduce natural light into the main warehouse area.

Nine months after site clearing began, the owner was in their space and their third party operator was beginning their transition process.
